Top UK Rhinoplasty Surgeon, Julian Rowe-Jones on: Why does the cost of rhinoplasty vary?
Rhinoplasty is a very difficult operation. As has often been said, it’s not difficult to do a rhinoplasty, but it is difficult to get a good result and I think that really says it all. The time spent in preparation and in analysis and the skill put into that before even starting surgery and then of course the technical skill of rhinoplasty is difficult to acquire and takes many, many years of dedication and really specialisation if you want to get the top results. So I think that gives some explanation as to the personal investment some surgeons will put it to rhinoplasty.
It’s also true to say that my surgery’s are taking longer now than it used to. My average time for a primary rhinoplasty is about three hours, and for a revision rhinoplasty I might take over five hours. My longest rhinoplasty took nearly eight hours once, rebuilding a cocaine nose. So I think those aspects have to be considered and thought about when you are deciding on rhinoplasty. It shouldn’t be just on cost alone, but you have to think, I wonder why one is more expensive than the other.

A Rhinoplasty review
Julian has gone above and beyond my expectations. I am amazed at the result and did not think it was possible to produce what he has.
