cosmetic nasal surgery
Refining the shape of the nose is called rhinoplasty. This is an overall term to describe a range of surgical steps which may be used to re-shape the nose. The nose may be straightened, a hump lowered and the nose made smaller, or a depression filled, usually with sculptured tissue taken from inside the nose where it is not needed, or with one of the new filler or graft materials.
The procedure is usually carried out with the patient asleep. It may be possible to perform surgery with local anesthetic and sedation..
